Welcome to the Plitvice Lakes Tour
Plitvice Lakes is one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Croatia. Dramatic scenery and cascading waterfalls, which have been placed on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites give you breathtaking moments.
Three hours drive through the countryside gives you scenic views while traveling to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Come with us on the tour and avoid long entrance queues in the summer months.
The Plitvice tour from Split includes an expert tour guide who will walk you through the ancient woodlands of the national park, along a path crossing the upper lakes. A boat trip goes to the lower lakes to experience the majesty of the 78-meter-high Plitvice waterfalls.
Time to say goodbye.
You will also enjoy a train ride through the stunning woodland and amazing spots for great photography. Later on, you will have some free time for the optional lunch at a restaurant or your own packed lunch before the tour heads back to Split.

How to book?
The drive to Plitvice lakes national park from Split is approx 2:45h.
Price of Plitvice Lakes tour includes transportation by bus or van of the highest tourist class, official English speaking guide, boat cruising and insurance.
Entrance tickets to the National park are not included.
If you want to reach Plitvice lakes from Split, then the best option is to take the same tour with a local travel agency which offers tours with or without a tour guide, and go directly by highway.
The second option is to take a local bus to Zadar, and from Zadar bus station to the National park.
For that transfer, you will pay aprox 27Eur – 35Eur, but you will spend more hours on the bus and will be more stressed about how to organize the return from Plitvice lakes.
Direct transfers from Split to Plitvice lakes by local bus, does not exist.
You need to buy tickets in advance and they can be bought online.
We go directly to Plitvice lakes, but coffee break stops can be arranged with your driver.
Plivice Lakes tour is not suitable for people with a walking disability, or wheelchair users.
The tour includes approx. 5km of walking on uneven surfaces – please wear comfortable walking shoes (we visit the highlights of both, the Upper Lakes and the Lower Lakes).
Here are a few items you may need on your tour: closed comfortable shoes (sneakers), sportswear, in case of rain, a raincoat or an umbrella. After summer time we also recommend bringing a warm sweater or jacket.
Swimming in Plitvice Lakes is not allowed due to preservation of nature.
If you want to go to the main waterfalls, and then up to the Upper Lakes, you should take Entrance 1. For going from the Upper Lakes to the Lower lakes, you should go to Entrance 2.
To reach Plitvice from Split, it would be the best to travel with a travel agency. Some agencies have options of organizing the tour with or without a tour guide, and prices depend on an option chosen.
Unortunatelly, the crowds at the Plitvice Lakes cannot be avoided. To make the entering to the park as fast as possible, reservations of entrance tickets have to be made a day in advance, and if you book a tour with the travel ageny, agents will make the reservation for you.
